Bluewaters Power Station

Bluewaters Power Station will be the first privately funded, owned and operated coal-fired power station in Western Australia and a key contributor to Western Australia’s energy mix. Bluewaters 1 and 2 will be base load units using sub critical technology to generate electricity to a capacity of 416 Megawatts.

Bluewaters Power Station will deliver a range of real benefits to Western Australia and the South West community. When operational, Bluewaters will be the State’s most efficient coal-fired power station. 

Powertech was engaged by IHI Engineering to provide commissioning support on the 1st phase, (Unit 1) of the project and thereafter moved on to the 2nd phase, (Unit 2) following mechanical completion.
