Powertech is rapidly expanding and as a result, full time positions have arisen. Reporting to Powertech's Managers you will be required to organise equipment and carry out field based testing and commissioning work as well as field service and HV maintenance tasks. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity that requires self motivated persons with practical industry experience. The successful applicants must be passionate and driven, possess a can do professional attitude, be reliable, well organised & presentable. Experience in testing and commissioning in the Oil & Gas-resources sector is preferred with a back ground in high voltage, protection relay testing and use of Omicron test equipment desirable. Successful applicants will have the following: 

 

 

• Experience in Protection Relay Testing

• Power Generation

• High Voltage Testing and Commissioning

• Hold a recognized HV Switching Certificate

• A grade electrical license

• C Class QLD drivers license 

• An excellent understanding of electrical theory 

• A positive and proactive approach to all opportunities

 

Must be prepared to travel within QLD, interstate & overseas. These positions will be based in our Brisbane offices. Office Hours: 8.30 - 5.00PM Monday to Friday as well as site based hours 

Powertech are close to securing a number of significant Commissioning Contracts for upcoming Mining and Oil & Gas Projects.

With some commissioning works expected to start during the 2nd half of 2010, Powertech are now seeking expressions of interest from ‘experienced’ commissioning personnel.

Most of the anticipated works will be in either Western Australia or Queensland.

Previous commissioning experience is essential.  Roles we will be looking to fill include:

- Commissioning Mechanical Engineers

- Commissioning Electrical and Instrument Engineers

- Commissioning Instrumentation Technicians

- Commissioning Electrical Technicians

- Commissioning Instrument/Electrical Technicians

- Commissioning HV Electrical Authorities

- Commissioning EEHA Inspectors
